Summary
Skywhale City is the first city built using the enormous amount of space offered by a Nomadic Skywhale. It’s also the first (and only) city built IN a Skywhale. Most of the city stinks to high heaven, but as the living space on the planet Earth is scarce enough* without being sniffy about where you make your home, so everybody pretends not to mind. Sure, they could have moved the city so it’d be on or under the Skywhale instead, but that’d mean admitting to the rest of the planet the inhabitants of Skywhale City were wrong. Can’t have that.
[*Due to massive flooding only the highest places on Earth are still above water.]
Recently the Skywhale the city was built in has become mysteriously ill. Coughs create Skywhale-quakes strong enough to wreck buildings as the Skywhale’s health steadily gets worse.
Medical teams must be send for, and on top of that almost nothing is known about Skywhales save for the fact that they make great big homes.
The only historian in Skywhale City, the non-binary teacher Mx Jaimy Luca, must find out what is going on before the city literally falls.Series
