Summary
Andrew Minyard has always figured that Exy is not the thing he wants to pursue in the future, and he has come to accept that it meant letting the sport and whatever he and Neil’s thing go after graduation. Because he was not Neil’s answer and Neil was sure as fuck not his, or so he reasoned when he left.
It has been three years since, and Andrew decides to take up his job’s offer to move to Boston for a change of scenery. It is not because when King accidentally turned his television channel to a sports channel it showed Neil Josten being lifted and twirled around by his new team’s (Boston Timber Wolves) goalkeeper after a tight victory.
It was definitely not because of that, and also not because he hated that Neil looked like he has moved on when Andrew has not.
He forgot a minor detail before moving though: researching who his neighbor is.

Wei Wuxian notices how much his husband misses Lan Xichen’s presence in his life. He notices the longing in Lan Zhan’s eyes for a brother who is there, but is also not there. So he devices a plan. It involves the incense burner and a trip down memory lane.
He just hopes he gets out of this dream alive, because he didn’t take into account the fact that he will see a lot of memories with his husband’s younger self. He doesn’t know if he could survive the cuteness and loneliness the memories bring forth.

Canon divergent AU.
Following their rescue from Xuanwu of Slaughter’s cave by Jiang Cheng, Wei WuXian and Lan Wangji are both brought back to Lotus Pier to heal.
Even with MianMian’s herbs that Lan Wangji was given in the cave he was still very sick from the Xuanwu’s bite on his leg. It had after all been a centuries old creature filled with death and resentful energy. It was not an easy injury to recover from, especially not when Lan Wangji had exhausted himself caring for Wei WuXian before they were rescued.
Recovery along with realisations about how they feel towards each other will be interrupted by the Wen attack on Lotus Pier.
Summed up as Lan Wangji is sick, Wei WuXian realises what should have been obvious, Wen Chao is still awful, some characters still die (sorry) and the Sunshot Campaign still happens, if rather differently.
