Summary
In a world where nearly everyone is a monster of some kind, John "Soap" MacTavish is the only human in Task Force 141. This has caused some problems, as some (most) monsters believe that humans are weaker than them, but Soap has fought tooth and nail to prove he belongs in 141. And he's succeeded, his team members supporting him along the way.
On a mission to catch a rogue vampire terrorist named Meister, Soap stumbles upon a hidden basement containing a ritual circle and a demon named Ghost. After being freed by Soap, Ghost is surprised but grateful to find that Soap doesn't view him as a monster, and treats him with respect. This immediately earns Ghost's undying loyalty, as he needs that respect and care. He refuses to leave Soap's side, which does unfortunately cause...problems, especially with Shepherd, Graves, and Meister.
