This Jayce was not his… he knew that much. Those golden eyes had no light in them, they looked hollow and sad.

Viktor tilts his head and shrugs. ‘Eh, I think it’s a little late for that.’
Jayce shakes his head in disbelief.
‘God, I missed you…’
Viktor doesn’t know how to respond to that.

“It looks so nice on you. It’s a little big though,” Jayce said approvingly as he reached out and pushed the shoulder of the sweater back in place.
It didn’t do much as the collar slid off to the side once more, exposing a section of Viktor’s collarbone.
“You made the shoulders too broad. I am far thinner than this,” Viktor said with a soft chuckle as he adjusted the sweater, pulling it down to his hips.
“Perhaps I did it on purpose. That way whenever you wear it,” Jayce murmured as he leaned forward, “I can do this.”
Viktor shuddered when he felt Jayce’s hand on his neck, angling it so that he could press his lips to the hollow of Viktor’s throat and down to the sharp jut of his collarbone.
“Jayce. I am most definitely enjoying this, but I don’t believe it is in the spirit of the holidays,” Viktor huffed as his hand found its way into the hair at the base of Jayce’s neck.
Jayce nibbled at the skin just below Viktor’s jaw before he pulled back. “You’re right. There’s just something about you in this sweater…”

Summary
He found himself in a room full of wealthy people, probably wealthier than he could even fathom, and none of them made a move to talk to him, albeit he could admit he didn’t try to look approachable. He watched as his partner talked with some of these people, an easy, practiced smile on his face as he listened and nodded along to whatever they were saying.
It wasn’t that Viktor was timid, or reserved. It was that he could not look at these people with anything other than hatred and disgust bubbling in his chest at the idea of them having this much power and money, yet using them solely to serve their own interest while children were starving on the streets where he grew up.
OR
Viktor is forced to go to a gala he absolutely does not want to attend. However, to his surprise, some good comes out of it.
