Summary
It’s 2023 in boring Hawkins, Indiana, and Steve Harrington doesn’t know what he’s doing with his life. Home from college with a barely passing GPA, recently dumped, and now drunkenly careening down a dark country road to the tune of his own misery, Steve realizes that he might be depressed. He wonders if he should see a therapist. It’s too bad this thought comes just before a glowing red hole cracks open in the road, and he’s sent careening through time and space.
It’s 1985 in boring Hawkins, Indiana, and Eddie Munson has plans for his life. First, graduate high school. Next, provide a kickass D&D campaign for those nosey little freshman who joined Hellfire over summer. And finally, write more music and go on tour with his band, Corroded Coffin. It’s too bad that all goes out the window when he finds the hottest man he’s ever seen stranded on the side of the road next to a glowing red hole to hell and a car from the future.

No aches. Because he hadn’t been beaten six ways from Sunday yet. His parents in Italy, because they went during his summer holidays in 1983.
The horrible thing about this was that he could believe it. Once he accepted portals to alternate dimension, gruesomely violent monsters from said dimensions, superpowered teenagers and state conspiracies to match it all, time travel wasn’t that difficult to believe in.
OR
Steve finds himself back in the Summer of '83 without knowing how he got there. He just knows that he has to change things and makes a lucky discovery:
Mrs. Henderson is looking for a babysitter. -

Summary
Steve, a society omega, puts out an add in the paper looking for an alpha among the lonely hearts expanding the west. He's answered by Billy, a lonely cowboy living in a growing settlement in California rich in just about everything but available omegas. Even though it is clear that Billy hasn't had the schooling that Steve has, Steve finds himself charmed and intrigued by the intelligent and silly alpha who hangs on his every word, who actually seems to want to listen to him. He seems like the perfect choice, but there's one problem. It's not Billy who has been writing Steve but his little sister Max, who is determined to find a good match for him. The real Billy is the single most rude and uncouth creature to ever walk the planet and there's nothing, absolutely nothing, on God's green earth that could ever convince Steve to marry him. The second problem? It will be weeks, maybe MONTHS, before rescue arrives and he's stuck with Billy until then.
