"Jason had already launched himself into the air by the time whatever-that-thing-was latched onto the boy’s leg, nearly yanking it off as it dragged him from hiding.
The kid twisted in the monster’s jaw with surprising dexterity and speed, plunging something into the creature’s throat at short range. Jason couldn’t see what it was, but as soon as the boy pulled back the monster screamed, its entire body writhing in agony before it exploded, knocking Jason out of his trajectory and toward the alley wall. He scrambled to keep himself from being brained on a brick wall, diverting his momentum to spring off the barrier instead of being flattened by it.
“What the hell was that?” Yelling at a traumatized civilian wasn’t very “Robin” of him. Jason needed to keep it together."
Jason Todd wasn't supposed to be patrolling. Sam Winchester wasn't supposed to leave the motel room. But neither of them are great at doing what they're told. Both of their families have a lot of opinions about this.

Summary
Stan Pines has been kidnapped by a deranged version of his brother Ford. Ford's always been his best friend but this version is obsessive and determined never to let Stan out of his sight. Stan's whole life he felt like the least wanted twin, but now it's like the entire universe is trying to get a piece of him.
Meanwhile, his real brother and friend (boyfriend?) Rick Sanchez unwillingly team up in order to bring Stan back. They'll go across the multiverse if they have to, but only if they don't kill each other first. Ford needs Rick to get the portal tech he needs to find his brother, but Rick has made it clear that he'd like to take Stan away from Ford himself.
Stan's a hot commodity, but that's only if the people who love him can keep him alive.

Summary
Ford's been having nightmares. Nightmares he doesn't want to tell Stan about. How does he explain that for the last seven days, he's had to watch his brother die over and over again? How does he explain that the dreams come with a message, one that Stan will always be taken away?
Ford needs to figure out where these nightmares are coming from, and fast, or he'll go absolutely crazy. He needs to sleep, but more than that, he needs to protect his brother.

“I’m not suicidal,” Jason repeated and held his breath. Dick didn’t laugh this time. He supposed that was an improvement.
Instead, he watched as Dick placed his hands on the edge of the sink, tightening them to fists, then releasing the tension with a deep breath. He looked back at Jason for the first time since he’d entered the bathroom.
“Am I supposed to believe that?” Dick asked, a clear edge to his tone. Jason had half a mind to snap back, then he caught the tears building in Dick’s eyes that his brother frantically blinked away. Dick’s hands tightened on the sink again and Jason kept his mouth shut. “Last I checked, nonsuicidal people don’t slit their wrists.”
Jason swallowed heavily. He wanted so badly to say that Dick was being unfair. He couldn’t. He remembered carrying the same mix of anger and grief when he’d found his mother.
“I wasn’t trying to kill myself,” he corrected.
Or alternatively; Dick catches Jason trying to kill himself. He swears it's not like That. Dick doesn't believe him.
