Summary
The world keeps blurring at its edges, and it’s threatening to take him with it.
Focus.
He feels like a wisp of smoke, at risk of blowing away in the rising wind.
Desperately, he tries to keep hold on the world around him. Keep himself from fading away.
***
He comes to on a wreck of meat and fire with barely a thought in his head. There’s something happening, something urgent. The others are worried, snapping at each other in harsh tones around the edge of the campfire, yet despite their issues, they move forward – if he can’t keep up, he’ll get left behind. Maybe, if he can be useful, they’ll keep him around.

Summary
Wyll goes to Colonel Cazador's for a Christmas Chicken Bucket and ends up finding the true mission of Christmas.
*
All Wyll Ravengard wanted for Christmas was a social media post for father’s campaign featuring Colonel Cazador’s holiday chicken bucket.
Well. More accurately, it’s what his boss wants for Christmas. Florrick is convinced that this fast food staple of the common Baldurian’s Christmas table will make his father more relatable to the general public.

Summary
The Dead Three gang set out to steal the Crown of Karsus from the Vaults of Mephistopheles. Everyone loves a good heist! What could possibly go wrong?
This is a prequel to "Anything Past Midnight." Though it is the same durge (pre-tadpole) from that fic (named Red), this heist nonsense can stand completely alone.
-
“Last one through doesn’t know how to spell Mephistopheles!” he says just before shoving Enver into the portal to Cania, the eighth level of the hells. Then, he sticks his tongue out at Ketheric and jumps in himself.
Ketheric is onto him, he thinks, about his intention to end the world in a blood-red bathbomb. Too stupid to manipulate, not like his sweet, smart Enver. That’s why he’ll have to get rid of him sooner. Convenient, really, that the Boner Lord intends to betray them well before the moment he would do so himself. He can skin Ketheric and present it to Enver dried and leathered to pad his throne. Look at how nice and obedient your dog is! Doesn’t he deserve a kiss?
Unlikely. Enver kissed him exactly once, when he vowed to love him and please him and do his bidding. It would probably take more than Ketheric’s nasty old hide to earn that esteemed reward all over again.

Summary
"First," said Gale. "Do not kill any thinking creatures in Waterdeep unless you must to protect yourself or you have my express permission."
As Gale spoke, he could feel the weight of his words sinking into the person sitting across from him. It was like casting a spell, but took no effort. Astarion had been staring hollowly into his goblet of blood, but at this he made a faintly interested noise. As if the rule were novel and he was considering the shape of it.
"Second, you will obey me in all things," said Gale. There didn't feel like there was any honest way of softening that. Astarion didn't make any sound at all.
"Third, do not leave the tower without permission." Astarion made another speculative noise, considering this one too. But then his shoulders hunched and his eyes skittered down, as if he didn't want to look at what was about to happen.
"Fourth," Gale said, and paused. He started with some context: "There is a tressym upstairs."
Astarion's head twitched. He looked up at Gale, blinking, startled. He had the air of someone who had been bracing for a blow and instead had just been handed a balloon animal.
"A what?" he asked.

Summary
She sends her soldier to a Nautiloid in Avernus to protect them. The soldier in question has no idea what's going on but is doing soldier's best.
-
No need to read any other parts of the series to understand this tragi-comedy.
This is Tav from the "A Guide to VERY HUMANOID for Dunces" series during the Nautiloid (part 1) and the first day (part 2). I've put it where it is in the series to avoid too many spoilers for the Astarion POV detective installments (all of the prior parts before "An Oath of Devotion").

Summary
Tav wakes injured, in pain, and surrounded by strangers. Lucky for her, she knows the city's escape routes and hideaways like the back of her hand—if only her hand would move at all, and if only her pursuer wasn't so damned persistent.
Set early in Act 3.
