That's what might be slithering through the environment of him too most days. The feeling that his species is other, a creature in an environment it was never meant for, slowly being eaten away into extinction. Body is humanity and desire is humanity and Silco can only feel the worst of it, the bones gnashing under his hands, the blood sprouting hot on a face, but he's always doomed to claw his way into keeping up with all the rest of it. Never meant to get ahead, never meant to understand.

Joker had an uncanny ability to always know when Bruce was near so though there was a hint of surprise in his expression, it also said the words: I thought there might be a peeping Bat nearby."
OR: Bruce walks in on Joker being fucked and makes it very clear who Joker belongs to by claiming his rightful place.
