Charlie's heart ached at the thought of returning to his childhood home in Ely, Minnesota for the holidays. His mother, a woman consumed by her own religious-fueled homophobia, had made every family gathering unbearable until his graduation. Ben had always provided an excuse for Charlie to skip the painful encounters, but with Ben dead, he had no reason to avoid facing his estranged mother and the bullies that may still lurk in his hometown.

Except Charlie isn’t actually a nerd. He is just a commercial model who posed for the Sexy Male Nerd Halloween costume sold in Shop ‘N Save stores nationwide. Which is where Nick first lays eyes on the image of the handsome stranger.
It just so happens that Shop ‘N Save is a direct competitor of Spooky Spirits Halloween Costume Company, for which Nick is also a model. Charlie finds himself shopping at a party supply store which exclusively sells Spooky Spirits costumes, and he comes across a rather compelling image of a Sexy Male Nurse.
Thus begins the orbiting.
An April Fools' gift for KareliasKiss, who certainly did not ask for whatever this is when she requested the prompt “Nick finds nerdy Charlie hot.”
