Lan Qiren still glared at the two of them. “Lan Wangji.” His gaze switched back to Wei Wuxian, who still hid behind Lan Wangji, mostly out of view. “Why didn’t you leave?” he snapped.
Wei Wuxian couldn’t help straightening up and offering Lan Qiren a cocky smile. “Because Second Master Lan kissed all sense out of me and changed my mind.” Just to drive his point home, he wrapped both arms around Lan Wangji’s waist, and rested his chin lightly on his shoulder.
Lan Qiren turned a truly impressive shade of white, and then red, mouth working silently, speechless from rage. Lan Xichen pressed his fist against his mouth, as if trying to hide his expression.
After a moment, Lan Qiren managed to bring himself back under control. Lan Wangji hadn’t blinked at Wei Wuxian’s words -- and, in fact, had put a hand down and wrapped it around Wei Wuxian’s, anchoring him in place. His face, though mostly expressionless, looked peaceful. Lan Qiren gritted his teeth. “I do not want you defiling the Lan clan disciples,” he repeated.
Wei Wuxian grinned. “Grandmaster Lan, I’m only defiling one of them.”

Summary
