The words he wanted to say, ‘please come over’, were lodged in the bottom of his throat. Simply thinking about hacking them up made him feel dizzy again. Pleading was not something Kunikida did, not ever, and he certainly wasn’t planning on starting now.
Yet the silence itself spoke for him.
or kunikida wakes up from a nightmare, extremely distressed. he doesn’t know what else to do besides call his partner, even though he also can’t think of anything worse than being seen.
