Well that’s not true as Tommy is sure that the D-man is NOT the scariest thing know to man but he digresses.
Or, Tommy, a powerful familiar, is constantly hurt by those who use him, when he runs away, hurt and on the verge of collapsing, someone is there to pick him up.

Summary
Now, Tommy wouldn’t say he was one of the most powerful species. Because, if he was, he’d probably already beat up these weird fiery aliens that snatched him up.
He’d been cooped up in a cage that was almost to small for him, making his legs ache from how they had to be curled up. Each 5 hours (or so he counted) they would come in and bring in a liquid that looked similar to water, a pile of goopy stuff that looked like baby food, and left.
It didn’t really matter how much he cursed them to high hell because once they were fed up, they burst into the room with that cursed stick and electrocute the fuck out of him. So, he just accustomed himself to just humming quietly, drinking the not-water and nibbling parts of the… food? Whenever it was given to him.
Or: Tommy gets kidnapped and then saved and hides in a vent.

the two opened their eyes to see logan with navy blue sandals in one hand and a mystery novel in the other, he had a towel thrown over his shoulder, he had swimming trunks thrown over his shoulder. Walking to the pool with an exhausted look, he paused and placed his sandals on the concrete next to the pool and book on the table a little ways away. he then strolled to the shed that was on the other side of their backyard and pulled out a donut floaty.
walking back to the pool, he said, “we should really move the pool objects closer toward he pool, i am tired of having to walk across the yard for a donut.”
In which Virgil’s leaves a (very) mild conflict to go swim and everyone else joins in.
