After having to deal with the death of his surrogate father right after his own release from prison, Daigo struggled with himself and what he stood for. In an attempt to learn how to breathe again, he agrees to go with Shinada to an impromptu reunion at Bantam.
That evening was supposed to be the moment of normalcy that Daigo depsperatley needed, surrounded by familiar faces and a lot of booze. There was one familiar face that he did not expect to see, though.
The dead don't come back. Or at least, they're not supposed to.

Aizawa looked up, desperate and unable to try to hide it, into Kiryu’s impassive face. Behind him, the woman had her hands over her mouth but something in her eyes suggested maybe she wasn’t as shocked at this as she was letting on.
Not that Aizawa cared.
His eyes never moved from Kiryu’s, silently begging on his knees with his aniki unconscious and bleeding in his arms to please put everything else aside and for once focus on what really mattered here.

or, if the scene where aizawa arrives with morinaga was expanded a bit, with a little bit of the ending of the boss fight tweaked just for fun
