Rewrite of Celeste getting poisoned!
You do not need to read my lightlark worldbuilding page to read this, but the very important cliffnotes from that are that
-no one is immortal in this universe
-the war with Nightshade happened post the curses, while Grimms mother was ruler (I've named her queen Vanna and her existence contradicts cannon). It only ended a handful of years ago.
-The war with Nightshade was mostly against starling and moonling for their territory
-I... don't know the details of Grimm and Isla's relationship in this universe but I think it's a lot more hostile bc of what he and his mother did to Cel's realm. It hasn't turned romantic, at least not on Isla's end, but she's sympathetic to him in ways she feels really guilty about.Title is from Champagne Problems by Taylor Swift because Aster talks about that being the theme song for Lightlark in her mind so I couldn't resist

Summary
Sky and Peril role swap! Kestrel has twin dragonets, one with no fire and one with too much. Queen Scarlet forces her to pick one to kill, and she chooses to drown her son with firescales. Unbeknownst to his mother or the queen, however, Sky survives and is rescued by a human girl named Wren. Meanwhile, Kestrel raises her daughter Peril while secretly working for the Talons of Peace.

This fic takes place in the version of Lightlark described in my Miscellaneous Lightlark Worldbuilding/Lore page. Not every fic that I use that worldbuilding for takes place in the same universe, for example this one contains Aurora and some of the others don't, but I'm listing them as a series just to make it easy to find the fic that the worldbuilding is in. You don't really need to read that fic if you don't want though, the tldr is that no one in this universe is immortal except Aurora, and the other rulers weren't alive for the start of the curses and just have ancestors who were. Also I tweaked the Nightshade and Skyling curses so that Nightshades need light to live and will die if stuck somewhere dark or dim for more than a few minutes, and Skylings have wings but the wings are paralyzed.

Summary
Title is from Child of the Stars by Fish in a Birdcage!
This takes place in the version of the world of Lightlark from "Kelsie's Miscellaneous Lightlark Worldbuilding/Lore". The important things to know from that are that Nightshade invaded Starling to get its whaling territory and they've been at war for a while. Nobody is immortal in this universe, Nightshade is under Grimm's mom's rule but he's an important general.
Celeste knitting is one of the cannon details I actually really love and wanted to think about more! I forgot about it until I started rereading Lightlark.

Summary
Exposition and lore dumping in the middle of a story isn't great cause it interrupts the story. However: I love a good lore dump, in a designated space for it. Prepare for random references to various pieces of fantasy media, probably much of it Wings of Fire. Also prepare for me not always knowing what I'm talking about, I don't normally do this type of worldbuilding.

Summary
What if everything was the same in the season 2 finale of OFMD except that Izzy wasn’t killed off in the peak of his character arc because the writers realized how much he meant to their audience? What if he got closure and Ed actually apologized for his abuse? This fic answers those two questions. No smut, no major character deaths, just the happy ending that Izzy and everyone who loved and cherished him deserved. Izzy beats death, is reunited with his crew, and becomes captain of the revenge. All this and more in over 10,000 words of the ending I wanted to see.
