Summary
After the Borg situation of the previous installment, Picard, Janeway, and all their friends and family are confronted with the political realities of the Synth attacks on Mars, the Synth ban, and what that would have meant and continues to mean for their holographic and cybernetic friends.
Admiral Picard is hounded for his status as a Synth and must figure out who is attacking his friends and his vineyard and what they want.
Admiral Janeway, grievously injured in their recent encounter with the Borg, is doing her best to drag the Federation back toward the ideals that it is supposed to stand for while dealing with her failing health. Nobody else is going to do it!
Janeway's daughter, Citlali, is overcome by the demands of a life in Starfleet and how that clashes with her personal desires.
And Seven of Nine is the queen of adventures.
