In the reflection of the mirror, he sees not himself, but a boy with golden eyes and brown hair, who looks at him curiously. Or rather, it seems so to him. So he keeps telling himself until boy comes out of the mirror and stands in front of him:

Summary
Unbeknownst to anyone, the people from Outside are a vampiric race. Bam never knew this about himself until he came to the Tower. Khun finds out the hard way on the test floor, and now their fates are inevitably woven, as Bam literally needs Khun in order to survive.
Khun wouldn't have it any other way, but it takes time to learn to "feed" Bam properly.
