    "Of course. What story do you want to hear?"
    "I want to hear about how you and Mummy met!"

    That had not been the answer Harry had expected. Harry had expected his daughter Rose would ask about the crazy adventures he went through at Hogwarts like when he outflew a dragon or when he fought a giant snake. He hadn't expected her to ask about how he and Hermione met.

    How was he supposed to answer that? The life story of Harry and Hermione Potter was as tragic as it was beautiful - so how was he supposed to tell it to a five-year-old? How was he supposed to explain to his daughter how her mother had been asked for her opinion on whether or not the Grangers should adopt Harry - and she had refused? How was he supposed to tell her that her father had been cold to her mother in their first two months at Hogwarts, changing only when the troll attacked them?

    And how was he supposed to tell about everything else? About how it ended?

    Well, he only had to talk and hope for the best.
