Adam grinned at Alastor like he was a prize. “You demons are all about making deals, right? There must be something you want. Tell me, and I’ll make it happen.”
Alastor sneered. “The first man reduced to begging for a date from a demon? How you have fallen.”
“Duh. I’m in Hell. Of course, I’ve fallen. And I ain’t beggin’. You’re a classy demon; I can tell. Which means you like a little extra effort upfront. I can do that. In the end, you’ll be the one begging for me.”
A sharp, piercing static sound escaped Alastor. To even suggest that he would beg for someone like Adam was so offensive to him that he wanted to rip Adam’s skin off and pour salt over him.
Adam chuckled. “Whoa! Look at you. You’re hot when you’re pissed.”
