Summary
Millions of years in the future, Q is dying. His lover, the Diplomat, a former human made Q, wants him to remain in the Continuum, where they can study his condition and try to save him. Q would rather die doing something meaningful.
(I think I explain everything in the story well enough for it to stand on its own, but it would probably be helpful if you read my other story in the Picard timeline, "But seas between us broad have roared".)

Summary
Q's side lost the Civil War in the Continuum. The winners promptly condemned all of humanity to live in Earth's solar system, quarantined away from the rest of the galaxy. Instability sweeps over the Alpha Quadrant as the Federation loses its backbone species, and chaos and violence reigns on Earth as humanity struggles to survive massive overpopulation. On Earth, two groups of humans and a single Q survivor of the losing side each devise strategies to break the blockade of Earth, while out in the galaxy, disgruntled Powers, Federation citizens, the only other Q survivor, and a lone human hero all work in their own ways to get revenge on the Continuum or to save humanity.

Summary
“Moving up and down the western front, the Howling Commandos liberated towns and concentration camps alike. Tragically, they never encountered the camp that held a young mutant named Erik Lehnsherr. Had they freed the boy, allowing him to channel his magnetic powers under their guidance, all of history might have taken a different turn…”

[A 90's Era X-Men Self-Insert]
"There is an old adage among lawyers that says: If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts. If you have the law on your side, pound the law. If you have neither the facts nor the law, pound the table." – Martin A. Davis, Jr.
Mutant law is an emergent field, more or less the wild west of the legal profession, and on a good day, you're lucky if the law and facts aren't all dead-set against you. And when your list of recurring clients includes the Wielder of Cerebro and the Master of Magnetism?
Well... suffice to say, there is plenty of pounding the table to be done.

Summary
Mary Summers is a sweet nine-year-old girl who’s going through a hard time. She just learned that she’s autistic and doesn’t know how to deal with it. Her parents have started arguing a lot more, kids are bullying her at school, and one day, she discovers her mother’s blog and is horrified by what she sees. Feeling like nobody cares about her, she decides to run away and even leaves a note. But before she can come up with a plan, a mysterious train picks her up and she finds a glowing number 120 on her hand. Plus, every train car has its own world and inhabitants...and she thinks it's the best thing ever. Why would she want to leave when all that’s waiting for her at home are a mother that hates her for being autistic, bullies who want to make her life miserable, and being constantly told she’s not normal? She befriends a talking hamster, Vic, and Blanca, a sentient, shapeshifting marshmallow. They decide to embark on a journey to see what the train has to offer, with Mary intent on reinventing herself and realizing she isn’t just some bothersome girl...but Mary is completely unaware of just how concerned her family and friends are when they see her note.
A fanmade, original Infinity Train season of my own making.
