They met in the last weeks of January. He stuffed a pigeon in his mouth while the other trapped him in a bubble, there was an immediate dislike for one another after that. This shouldn't have happened, being thrown into a bizarre situation and fighting for his life on the most chilling countdown ever. There shouldn't have been room to fall in love.

When Jotaro kisses him for the first time, in their hotel room near the Saudi Arabian desert, Kakyoin doesn’t even register it as a kiss.
Later, when Kakyoin and Jotaro are alone in the latter’s room for the first time since Kakyoin was discharged from the hospital, Jotaro cups his jaw and swoops in, and Kakyoin loses his voice.
Further on, when Kakyoin is considering putting his book away and getting ready for bed, Jotaro enters their bedroom with a soft groan, crawls into the space next to Kakyoin, and meets him halfway when Kakyoin leans in.
