Summary
Midoriya Izuku is quirkless. It's a truth everyone just found out recently, and yet that doesn't stop everything from changing in the split second it takes to blink.
His father turns abusive, his mother becomes distant, his friends leave him, and Kacchan starts bullying him. His world shatters apart, and yet, he continues on, striving to be a hero, even when society beats and breaks him.
Along the way, he meets someone like him — abused, hated, abandoned. Their friendship starts with an alleyway, a muzzle, and bruises, and it's then and there he vows to help them, to be their hero, because he sees himself in those violet eyes and it makes his heart ache.
Perhaps though, they become each others heroes. Perhaps they'll fight oppression and discrimination together.

Summary
During spring break, Hitoshi goes back to his current foster parents' house, something he fought against but ultimately didn't get a say on. During said break, they face the usual abuse their current guardians show them, except it's amped up to 100.
He ends up teetering between life and death from a brutal beating, and in his time of need, they call their partner for help, unsure of what else to do.
But along with Denki comes Aizawa and Yamada-sensei.
After being unconscious for multiple days and staying in the hospital for a little over a week, they're finally able to go home. Except they have no home now, because their foster parents are awaiting trail and he's unable to stay in their home, and they have no where else to feasibly go.
Aizawa and Yamada take them in then.
Nothing's official -- they aren't even registered as fostering them right now -- but after a night spent at their home, filled with furry cats and warmth and peace, being protected and safe, Hitoshi wants it to be.
They've never had a family before, but perhaps they've just stumbled into one.

Summary
Umeko Midoriya was always starry eyed and bright smiles, bumbling with childhood innocence and cotton candy happiness. She was always muttering and mumbling, jumping about with words far more complex than someone her age should know tumbling easily from her lips. She was always a joyful, radius ball of sunlight and chubby grins, so kind and helpful and intelligent.
It all seems to come crumbling down, cracking and crashing to the ground, ash and dust resonating within lungs and tears and hearts, though, on one faithful day.
The day she was pronounced quirkless.

With her quirkless diagnosis, everything starts to change for Umeko Midoriya. Kacchan turns on her, her parents hate her, and the world starts beating her down.
Which includes her being abused by everyone in her life, having to raise her 2 younger siblings, and having to be a parent to a child she never wanted in the first place, all while struggling with her gender identity and self hate.
She finds a friend (lover?) along the way, trains when she can to be a hero, and might just find herself in the middle of a rowdy, caring class with kind teachers and some new, adopted parents.

Summary
In this story, Izuku makes a decision that forever alters the course of this tale. It not only affects him, but everyone around him as well.
Izuku is sick of it. And tired. And so, in choosing to get away from his abuser, he shifts the story.
Izuku applies to Shiketsu High School.
The predetermined future is broken and the pages are set alight, and Izuku Midoriya is left to rewrite the chronicle.
And he will do so, through discrimination and abuse, "I'm sorry Izuku!"'s and tears, burns and blisters and cuts. Izuku will be his own hero, and forge a new path for those who follow him.

Update (1/23/2022): I will no longer be partaking in Ota's fic exchanges, seeing as I've left her discord server and that's how she coordinates it. This series is officially completed, which is wild! There will be more exchange fics to come, except they'll be for the Fanfiction Forum server!

Summary
Izuku is born Quirkless in a quirk dependent society. Struggling through school, pushing past bullying, ignoring his abuse, he clings onto his dream to be a hero tightly — it's the only thing that brings him joy. With Quirkless societies cropping up and a shoe/lace system to spot fellow Quirkless people, Izuku participates and tries to find himself a place as an aspiring Quirkless hero.
Sadly, when All Might saves him on that fateful day, all hope is lost. The man himself tells him he can't be a hero. With crushed dreams and a broken heart, he attempts to go home, only to save his main abuser — Bakugo Katsuki — from the Sludge Villain. Having proven himself worthy, All Might offers his quirk up, saying he can be a hero after all. Izuku, gripping his shattered dreams and longing for hope, for someone to tell him he *can*, says yes.
All Might is not who he seems, no matter how hard he tries to cover it up. Stuck with an abusive mentor, trapped in a toxic household, and bullied at school relentlessly, Izuku truly has no safe space or people to fall back on. He gets into UA after months of training, and finds himself with a nice teacher, caring friends, and kind people. Things aren't fixed that easily though...

When another son is born to the family, he is pushed to the side even more, erased from the family and shoved away for a new baby with an early quirk.
With no one to support him or show kindness to his bruised heart, will he make it into UA's hero course?
Will he find friends who bring him up instead of down; have teachers who grade him fairly and discourage bullying; find parents and a family to love him?
