Xiaoshi and Lu Guang frowned simultaneously and responded in the same tone, “No we aren’t!”
Qiao Ling merely folded her arms across her chest and looked between them, giving them pointed looks.
The two boys looked at each other in disbelief; this didn’t mean anything!

But even after years of studying magic and the Arcane, Jayce would never forget the voice of the alpha he met. But it's a lot harder to bond with him once they're both older and Viktor is so focused on Jayce's findings instead of Jayce's kind of obvious crush on him.
