    Suffering an unrequited love not only can have a mental toll on your mind, but it can also affect your physical health; that’s when the Hanahaki disease comes in. Flowers grow and bloom inside of your chest, hindering your breathing and causing you strong chest pain, and if it lasts long, it could even cause death.
    Once starting to develop, there are just few options left for you to survive: either the person of your affection will return your feelings so you will be cured; you could get the flowers surgically removed to stop your suffering and getting rid of your feelings too; or you will end up choking on those same flowers, dying.

    However, when he starts to get affected by the disease, he finds himself unable to consider getting the surgery, getting attached to the sickly feelings that are growing inside of him along his flowers, until he can’t go on.
