Summary
Dazai is a struggling writer in the 80s, drowning his depression in alcohol and sex, trying to escape his past.
Chuuya is a bartender at a queer bar, which he frequently sings at. But despite his passionate demeanor, he is constantly trying to fulfill his meaningless life with alcohol and his music, searching for something better.
Dazai stumbles into a bar that he had never seen before, unaware of the atmosphere around him. He silently watches as Chuuya begins to sing on stage. Dazai watches him, unsure of the feelings that arise within him as he watches this strange, yet intoxicating, redhead perform.
A story of two men searching for something more in life as they navigate sexuality, their haunting pasts, and battling the society around them during the height of the AIDS epidemic in the 80s.

Chuuya’s mouth falls open. “What the fuck.”
Dazai smiles, and there’s so much wrong with it that Chuuya wouldn’t even know where to start. “It’s a killer deal.”
(Dazai is a suicidal maniac who works at a detective agency for gifted individuals. Chuuya is a vampire assassin and Port Mafia executive. What could go wrong?)

Summary
Something was wrong.
Something had been wrong for several days now, and Dazai still couldn’t pinpoint just what it was that kept making his chest ache so horribly. He felt like he was slowly dying, his very being swallowed up by the gaping hole that had opened up where a normal human’s heart would be.
“Chuuya,” Dazai started again. The ache was back, amplified by the sight of such a loathsome hatrack, and Dazai swallowed around the lump obstructing his throat. “Chuuya, I think I’m dying.”
