Summary
I Want Everything, a Yennefer-centric series of interlinked character studies. This is heavily character-centric, with some hints at plot. Yennefer of Vengerberg wants everything, but what does “everything” even mean? With typical chaotic verve, Yennefer kisses a lot of different people, lies around trying to do healing (on herself and others), attempts to teach a child magic and considers whether the dance Emhyr var Emreis is doing on the barrows of his enemies is a waltz.
Originally this was drabbles meant to help me remember how in the hell creative writing worked, but of course they all grew legs and would not stay 100 words long. This is the new summary, written after I’d actually finished the bastard thing, so if you’re thinking “hmmm those tags and name look familiar but the summary is different” that’ll be why! Enjoy :) -

“What’s a guy like you doing in a place like this?” Clint says, instead.
Barnes snorts. “Having a drink,” he says, then gives Clint another one of those appraising looks. “You a professional?” he says, after a second, and Clint is momentarily confused.
A professional what?
And then he realizes Barnes must be talking about pool, and Clint huffs a laugh. “Only when there’s money involved,” he says, smirking, and Barnes kind of nods, like that makes any sort of sense.
Then Barnes nods again, a little more firmly, and says “You got a place?”
Which is about the point that Clint realizes that he’s not meeting the Winter Soldier in a bar, he’s being picked up by the Winter Soldier in a bar and-
“Yeah,” he croaks, clears his throat, thinks wildly that he’s really fucking glad Kate has Lucky for a few days, and says “Yeah, I got a place.”
Or, how Bucky got his groove back.
(And Clint too, but it was a different sort of groove)

Harry Potter reacts much differently to the Dementor attack on his cousin and it causes a cascade of changes in the lives of everyone he knows. He takes advantage of some old traditions to escape the predetermined path he has been set on.
“Somehow you found me a more acceptable confidant,” Snape said, in a tone that implied that Harry’s brain might be faulty.
“This would probably upset anyone I said it to, but you’re about the only person actively trying to keep me from being in mortal danger in the first place. Plenty of people will help me once I’m neck deep in it, but they’d still encourage me to walk into the mess."
