    When you take a look at the big picture, Izuku Midoriya’s life was pretty great. He climbed the corporate ladder of Alterra, one of the most infamous space-faring companies out there. He got a dream position out of the blue from an old college professor of his- Shouta Aizawa- to be the new head engineer of his crew on the ship he commands for Alterra, Parvum Avis. With no credits to his name after paying off student loans, Midoriya joins in a heartbeat, with an eye for adventure and (hopefully, but he won’t complain too much) money.

    TLDR: what if Midoriya was the player character of the video game Subnautica? Inspired by the book The Martian, the video game Subnautica, and the anime My Hero Academia.
