The blankets underneath him and on top of him are soft against his skin, and Jayce is so fucking warm, and the pillows he’s surrounded himself with leave him feeling just the perfect amount of closed in. The one underneath his head—the one he’s snuggling, clutched close to his chest, nuzzled against his cheek—smells like Viktor.
It smells so fucking much like Viktor.
Viktor, who’s currently at what Jayce thinks is the longest meeting in the history of meetings. Viktor, who left him this morning with a long, gentle kiss to his forehead and a promise that “I’ll be back as soon as I can” before he raced out the door. Viktor, who Jayce really, really misses more than anything and anyone else in the fucking world.
