His friends and family had already tried to help him with his boundaries and they had succeeded.

Izuku felt the fear grip his lungs again. “Can you take off the mask?” He just needed to see proof that a normal guy was under it, a little assurance that things were mostly safe back here. The man’s hand lingered on the bottom of the mask before pulling it off. Instead of feeling better Izuku started to wish an actual serial killer had found him.
Familiar crimson eyes fixed him with a pointed glare. It was more intimidating to be on the other side than Izuku remembered. They hadn’t seen each other since junior high. Kaachan had an impressive jawline and when he pushed back his hair Izuku stared at the way the muscles on his bicep flexed. Everyone dreams of running into their childhood bully with them being miserable and ugly, but here Izuku’s was, attractive enough that he understood why Ochaco thought fictional murderers were hot.
“Don’t know if you remember me.” Kaachan spoke quietly, eyes now avoiding Izuku. “It’s Kaachan or um Katsuki.” Memories flooded back hearing the nickname, times when they were young and best friends.

Summary
Izukus heart pounds as he reads carefully over the paper gently held in his hand. He can hardly breathe as a giddy happiness squeezes his heart.
It wasn’t a perfect letter. But it was beautiful. And Izuku couldnt believe that, Katsuki, his boyfriend of almost 4 years and childhood friend before that, would write something so emotionally charged.
Just for him.
Then it clicks. If this isn’t a final product does that mean Kacchan is making him a gift? He is receiving an award for his work with children and helping them build self confidence and interpersonal skills and the date of the party happens to land just before their 4 year anniversary.
Weeks go by and Izuku never see's the letter again after it mysteriously disappears. Then one day after patrol Izuku see's his boyfriend talking to a sidekick while he's on his way to the locker room.
Smiling Izuku changes direction and is about to call out to the blonde when he freezes as a familiar looking paper passes almost sneakily from Katsuki into the sidekicks hands. Frowning and slowing to a stop Izuku watches as the sidekick looks over the paper, squeals brightly, and lunges at Katsuki slinging his around the blondes neck.
He feels sick.

Katsuki knew it didn’t mean anything - the nerd’s late awakening could’ve been triggered by any of their Alpha classmates - but that didn’t stop him from overthinking it. The strange evolutionary animal in his head was fixated, as if there was any significance to the fact that he had been nearby. As if that made Izuku his Omega somehow.
He scolded himself every time his mind made that slip-up, but it didn’t stop him from watching the nerd’s every movement - and after a while, Katsuki began to notice some things… changing.
