Mickey always thought he wasn't cut out for having kids for a plethora of reasons. One of which includes that he never had a good example of what you actually do with kids. He had no idea how to tell what babies needed, how to take care of them when they're hurt or sick, or how to make them know they're loved so they don't grow up hating you. He knew he wouldn't be good at it. But then, in walked Franny fuckin' Gallagher with her red hair, bubbly but kickass personality, and her unwavering love for Mickey without him doing anything to try and earn it.
Or, how Mickey came to realize that he might be cut out to be a dad, after all.
