He wakes up with a headache, and the world around him is so dark that he wonders if he’s finally made it to Hell – if his body has been put through waves like a sock in the washing machine, thrown around weightlessly until he’s spit out onto this inky black ocean shore of the underworld. But when he opens his eyes all the way and blinks away the bleary remnants of saltwater, he’s met with a man – hair as dark as the new moon above – inches from his face.
Midoriya Izuku wakes up on the shore of a remote island belonging to Todoroki Shouto, a man who has (presumably) been dead for seven and a half years.

Summary
“Um…” Kageyama says, trying to remember the most basic of phrases he was taught years ago. “Don’t… understand…” he says in English, as clearly as he can manage.
The redhead cocks his head to the side in a gesture that reminds Kageyama of a puppy. If puppies had terrible fashion sense and wore rainbow tank tops that showed their bare arms like that. He feels the guy stare him up and down as if only just taking in his appearance during this exchange.
Then, in perfect, unaccented Japanese, the redhead says, “Japanese?” and Kageyama’s senses prick up as though the other guy is a lifeline and he’s drowning in the ocean. When Kageyama doesn’t respond for a second, the other guy cocks his eyebrow and asks, “do you not speak Japanese?”

Summary
Izuku wants to be taken care of. He wants to let Katsuki hold him tight and wipe his tears. Hand him a needle and ask him to stitch his heart back together with the red thread that Izuku imagines connecting their pinkies. With comfort and homemade meals and the warmth of his hand.
It’s a pipedream.
“I’m going to be okay.”
“Idiot, I thought I told you that you don’t have to do shit on your own again. Partners, remember?” he says. “You can’t get rid of me. Till death do us apart, and all that crap.”
Katsuki doesn't have a clue about the things Izuku feels for him, and Izuku intends to keep it that way for as long as he can.
For forever, maybe.
