Summary
Being a dragon slayer is certainly a lonely and dangerous job, but someone has to do it, and Shouta Aizawa is that someone. He is a member of the Aizawa clan, after all. The job was supposed to be routine, just another dragon to kill to protect a nearby village, but the slayer's life changes forever when he meets Hizashi Yamada, a bard cursed to turn into a dragon whenever the sun rises. Really, there's only one glaring issue: Aizawa can't stand bards.
Hizashi doesn't deserve this curse - at least he thinks he doesn't. How's he supposed to live out a normal life of playing music and seducing women when he has horns and a tail? And that's only during the night! Nevertheless, he's survived with this curse for three years now, but his time's running out. Mating season is fast approaching and if he isn't cured by spring, he'll be completely consumed by the curse. His only hope is Shouta Aizawa, the same man who has promised to destroy him should they fail. Can the two really work together and find the cure when they can't even get along, or is Hizashi doomed to succumb to the dragon's curse?

Summary
“Shinso, are you okay?” Present Mic asks him, fiddling with his fingers and this is easy.
This, Hitoshi knows how to do.
“I’m fine,” he says, and looks out for the way interest slides out of their eyes, waits for them to turn their gaze away from him.
It takes a second and then five and then ten and Hitoshi squirms, uneasy, because both teachers keep looking at him.
“I’m going out on a whim here, but I would guess that’s not true,” Eraserhead finally says and Hitoshi feels as if he can’t breathe.
If they are listening then it’s a lie, it’s all a lie what he’s saying and Hitoshi doesn’t know how to deal with that.
No one ever listens.

Hizashi stares at the page for a long while after that, contemplating the words he’s just read. There are still tears that drip down his cheeks, slower now, and occasionally a quiet hiccup will shudder his chest. Everything is quiet in the house; his foster parents don’t seem to have realized he’s hidden himself away just yet.
Eventually, his fingers trail over to the directions of the spell itself. It seems simple enough. Concentration. Reciting words. Pressing hands to the chest in question. He can certainly do that.
Or
It's one thing after another that just keeps piling up on Hizashi, and when he chances upon a way to cut out his heart - a way to remove his emotions so he no longer has to feel - he takes it.
Years later, he and Shouta find each other again.

Summary
Shouta sat in the living room bouncing his foot up and down so hard that it was shaking the whole couch. His obsidian eyes kept flicking up to the clock then back down toward the coffee table.
It was 9pm…Hizashi should have been home by now, he knew Shouta’s rut was anyday and he knew that Shouta would require his undivided attention.
His omega knew this yet he decided to ignore him.
The rage and hormones were boiling and thrashing under his flesh and Shouta wasn’t even able to stop the angry snarl that escaped from between his lips when the clock struck 10pm and his mate still wasn’t home.
The raven haired alpha stormed through the house, his scent burnt and filled to the brim with fury as his eyes raked over everything they had already prepared.
Yet his omega still wasn’t home.
