Summary
Three shot up, wide awake, in the middle of the night. She looked around in a cold sweat, checking for anyone who could be nearby, but stopped once her eyes laid upon the octoling sleeping next to her. Three sighed and laid back down, snuggling up against the octarian.
She woke up from a nightmare she had about when she was previously an agent of the Splatoon, rather than the captain. About how she once fought the octoling that now laid next to her, peacefully. It was a time where nobody knew that an octoling could change. A time of, dare say it, racism and segregation.
The Octarians weren't bad, Cuttlefish was just racist because of the war

Three has been suffering from PTSD from her past experiences as an agent, yet keeps everything to herself all for the sake of her friends not worrying about her. Though as the hallucinations get worse and harder to hide, it's clear that something is going to have to be done about it

Summary
So the years passed, and those kids under the awning grew. As they did; wounds left open for so long healed, bonds formed between those who thought they could never be anything other than acquaintances, and that very tired octoling found some rest- what it means to have forgiveness and self-love.
Even as things seemed to come to an end- finally reaching a form of closure, there were still things left unsaid- unseen- unheard.
One can only truly know what they experience.

Things went crazy for Agent Three. First, she somehow took part in saving the world, then found out that an Octoling joined Squidbeak Splatoon. She couldn’t even relax after hearing the news because things in Inkopolis have changed during her absence. After all, she ended up with a roommate who had no clue about Inklings’ norms of life. And these weren’t the only things Agent Eight wasn’t aware of.
