Summary
V gets a call from a stranger asking to meet. Then this stranger says he’s a detective and starts asking questions V doesn’t want to answer. Problem is, she can’t seem to shake him, plus he gives her the warm fuzzies and Johnny hates it. Maybe keeping cops from getting too close was a rule that was meant to be broken.
This was inspired by a theory I saw somewhere that River was originally going to be the one that found V in the landfill. I wanted to explore how that could've looked plus further development in V and River's relationship.

He recalls something that she said the night before. That she could forget about all the bullshit when she looked at him. That he helps makes it better for her. He liked that, loved that he could be that person for her.
