Summary
Jessie, James and other Team Rocket agents are summoned to headquarters. Giovanni prepares them for a big mission of which the agents' past will turn out to be an important part.
My first take on Fanfiction. Feedback welcome.
The main part of the story takes place after the events of Pokémon Journeys and before the MPM mini-series with possible flashbacks. The story ignores the events of JN episode 095 (Cassidy and Butch are still members of Team Rocket)

It had never really occurred to him to understand it until that fateful moment he met her—perplexing, challenging, and impossible in her existence.
Or, Steven and Cynthia meet one day as strangers in the Sealed Chamber along Route 134 in Hoenn. It sets off an interregional chase, Steven in hot pursuit of the mysterious Cynthia, always seemingly one step ahead of him, until he finally captures her—or so it seems.

A new mission with a twist sends Team Rocket to a mysterious place, revealing the secrets within and opening up old memories and feelings that Jessie wishes she could keep hidden forever. Worried it might ruin her friendship with James, she wouldn't dare bring to light what clearly is burning on her chest. But as events unfold she learns that she is not the only one keeping secrets and time would not be the only thing that would pass.
