Summary
It's been six years since the band went on its famous hiatus. Six years of solo and independence, whether he wanted it or not, knowing he had to take the time to rebuild himself. He did what needed to be done.
It has been six years since Louis's life was turned upside down, and now it is about to happen again. The band is reuniting, and Harry Styles is about to step into his life once again.
He promises to everyone that dares to ask that he is ready. Yet, his reassuring words, when spoken, are less felt in his soul. Will he be strong enough? Sometimes, even he doesn't know how his own mind works, what is truly buried and anesthetized there, under ruins of unconscious thoughts.
But Harry. That much he knows. He is about to meet his ex-best friend again, and only God knows how's that's gonna go. Louis just hopes for the best.
In other words, it is the one in which Harry storms back into Louis's life and makes him forget what breathing means; and staring at each other's eyes is their favorite renewed hobby.

Summary
It’d be so easy to just open his mouth and plead with Harry, to scream I’m sorry until his voice disappears, but he can’t. Be it his pride or his ego or his insecurities, he just can’t do it. The worst part is that he knows Harry would probably forgive him.
But Louis doesn’t want phony forgiveness. He doesn’t want Harry’s soothing words and pity embrace, thinks he might just break altogether if he was offered them. He feels like he’s made of glass recently and it’s to the point where he kind of wants to tip over the edge, just to see if he’d shatter. Just to see who’d be there to pick up the pieces if he did.

Dear person after me,
This is Louis Tomlinson writing to you, and before you start this, there are a few things I need to say to you. You have to understand that Harry is the best thing that ever happened to me. There will never be someone I will love and adore more than him. He has my heart, but the odds were against us. We met at the right time and he was the right person for me, he will always be the right person for me. But we met in the wrong industry with the wrong management too. It’s the reason that I cannot keep him, and because I want the best for him, I have to let him go. That is what will help him achieve his dream.
