    Summary

    ˗ˏˋ — ‧₊˚- ᓀ ᵥ ᓂ - ˚₊‧ — ˎˊ˗.

Odysseus of Ithaca, his family by his side. A family more loving than the one the gods were born into. And is that not tragic? They are supposed to be more than humans in every way and yet, somehow, this is the part where they’ve failed. Laud to them, the mightiest of all: divine and powerful and above all mortal, ageless and holy and fated to be great. Laud to them, the mightiest of all: a father who struck down his child and her siblings who stood by and did nothing but watch. What does it mean, to be a god? He does not have an answer.

    ˗ˏˋ — ‧₊˚- ᓀ ᵥ ᓂ - ˚₊‧ — ˎˊ˗.

Faintly, Apollo realises that Athena does not think of her family as she dies – but of a mortal man and his wife and son; of a carved wooden owl and olive trees; of an infant in her arms and bright smiles.

    ˗ˏˋ — ‧₊˚- ᓀ ᵥ ᓂ - ˚₊‧ — ˎˊ˗.

(or: Gods are complex beings. That does not mean being siblings means nothing- not when their sister is suffering their fathers wrath. It is wrong: they will not stop it. All they can do is collect what's left in the aftermath, and pray that it may heal.)

    Summary

“Let’s get inside.” Bruce scooped Damian up and took Jason’s hand. Jason grumbled, mumbling and making noises that may have been words.

“Ummi?” Damian whined. He looked around unsurely, saying more words in Arabic — the League dialect. Bruce only caught a few words; things like ‘where’ and ‘home’.

His heart broke a little at that. Damian didn’t understand what was happening, must not have had anything explained. All he knew was that he’d been left with some strange man and his mother wasn’t around.

“Your ummi isn’t here right now,” Bruce said gently. “I’m Bruce. Your father.”

    “Father?”

“Yes. I’m going to take care of you and your brother for a bit.”

    Summary

Dying was natural. If there was anything natural about being beaten to death by a clown with a crowbar and blown up. Coming back to life was less natural, but not unheard of. Jason would personally not recommend having to dig your way out of your grave, but whatever universe-controlling entity that was running this show didn’t seem to care for his opinions.

Dying twice was just a natural consequence of his resurrection. Sure, he’d expected to be kicking around for more than a year or so after his miraculous return, but he supposed accidentally spooking a tiny assassin child and getting stabbed to death was a funny enough way to go. His life was a joke after all.

Now, coming back to life a second time was completely unexpected.

(A Titans Tower AU where Death doesn’t seem to stick for Jason Todd anymore, but Tim doesn’t know that when he accidentally kills him.)

    Summary

Jason ducks just in time to avoid being electrocuted with enough volt to down a whale, tutting disappointedly, “Now, now, that wasn’t nice. What if you hit my brand-new jacket?”

“What is your price…” Batman grits out, looking pained, “In return for the pelt?”

Jason’s eyes narrow, fury coiled low in his gut like a pit of vipers waiting to strike. “What piece you talkin’ about, old man? My pretty jacket, or the fur rug?”

“All of it,” Batman snaps, true fury making his voice pitch more towards Bruce than Batman.

“Greedy,” Jason remarks idly, “Don’t anybody teach you that sharing is caring?”

Jason is a selkie, and his pelt is... a point of contention.
