Grover rolled his eyes at Percy. “Blessings aren’t like magic spells, Percy. There’s not necessarily a right or wrong way, especially when I’m pretty sure you’ll be making up an entirely new blessing. You just have to… believe what you say. Deeply. And do what feels right and hopefully the fates will carry your blessing.”
“Right,” Percy responded dryly.
“You got this Seaweed Brain," Annabeth added.
“If I look dumb, I’m figuring out how to smite you both next.”
“If you don’t figure this out, I have very little faith you’ll figure out how to smite.”
“Shut up, wise girl,” he said, but he was struggling to keep down his smile.

Percy laughed and once again pushed her back down to the mattress. “You might be the only goddess who is worried about getting fired from her day job. Don’t worry, I already called and told them you had the flu. It’s pretty bad. You might be sick all week. I figured you might want some adjusting time.”
Annabeth didn’t know what part of that statement to react to. She wanted to laugh at the ridiculousness, cry at the thoughtfulness, but also goddess.
Whoo, boy, that would take some getting used to.
