The team goes on a simple mission. It goes unexpectedly, horribly wrong, and Lance is taken by some random alien race that works in the slave trade. He works against his injuries, his captors, and his mental state to get back to the team. Whatever it takes to see those eyes reflect the stars again.
Meanwhile: The team is destroying themselves. While they are all going crazy with worry, Keith is going absolutely insane. Realizing that, wow, if he can't get Lance back, his heart is going to shatter. That's new.
TLDR; Lance is not having a great time, Keith is not having a great time, no one is having a great time. Apart from some random aliens that haven't learned of Voltron's wrath. They are in for a surprise.
