"I'll stitch you up when you are back to consciousness" she mumbled, completely wrapped up in the dressing of the wound. So much so that she did not notice the voice that addressed her, at first.
A female voice with a very distinct American accent. The voice sounded exhausted, parched, low, but strong.
"If you're talking to me, you're going to have to speak English sweetheart"
Caitlyn's eyes widened as she looked up from dressing the wound and cerulean eyes found the greyest ones she had ever seen, sending a rush through her that she was unfamiliar with.
Then, Caitlyn spoke.
English this time, laced with a light French accent.
"I told you your wound would need to be stitched up when you were to wake" she simply informed her, ignoring how heart her started pounding yet again.

Summary
The strong divide between Piltover and the Undercity was never a subtle one. The rich and the poor, the high houses and the miners. The top and the bottom. Oil and water. Split right down the middle by the river Pilt. All it took was one Piltovian girl to reach across, stumble with a family that treated her as one of their own, and fall in love with the wrong girl to break Piltover's well stablished status quo. Summary
Vi is the head barista and part-time manager of The Last Drop, a coffee shop and café in Piltover. Caitlyn is a coffee-loving PhD student at the nearby university who spends every weekday working from her favorite table at The Last Drop. Despite an obvious attraction, the two women are immediately at odds with each other the moment their paths cross. Over time, they'll navigate past their differences and form a unique arrangement.
This is an enemies to friends with benefits to lovers arc set in a modern coffee shop/café AU. I am writing it specifically at the request of my wife, who has a thing for barista-centric fanfics and loves Caitlyn/Vi. Chapter titles are quotes from Arcane.
