Dissatisfied after her tense conversation with Vi about joining the enforcers, Caitlyn stalked toward the guest room of her house, where Vi had taken up residence. A rift between the two of them didn’t sit well within her. After losing her mother, she couldn’t stand the thought of Vi slipping away from her.
Nothing prepared her for the next hour, nor would she ever feel guilty for all that passed between them. After all, grief does funny things.
