Hitoshi has never claimed to be a lucky person.
When he failed at winning first place in the sports festival, and subsequently lost his final chance to become a Hero Course student, and further lowered his chances of fulfilling his dream of becoming a hero to near-zero, it was just in his unlucky nature that the failure haunted him every night, stealing away his sleep.
Then one day, in some strange bout of kindness, lady luck decided to gift him something-- and that something just so happened to be Pro-Hero Eraserhead, his childhood hero, personally seeking him out to offer an opportunity to train him and help him get a spot in the Hero Course.
Of course he accepted the offer, he isn't an idiot, and then things finally, finally, started looking up for him.
But as he said, Hitoshi is not a lucky person. Cause the next thing he knows, Hitoshi is sprinting for his life to escape UA before the police and Pro-Heroes arrest him as a main suspect in a murder case.
