All those college dreams now seemed like whimsical fantasies as you fumbled for a makeshift weapon, settling on a spatula that suddenly felt woefully inadequate for the impending apocalypse. Lucy's half-hearted contributions to the rent suddenly felt like a trivial concern compared to the fact that you were now serving as the main course in a diner of the damned.
