Summary
Prior to joining Shinra, if someone asked Cloud to describe his hero Sephiroth he would’ve said 'inspiring'. After meeting him, Cloud would add the word 'dangerous'. When Cloud became Sephiroth's student, he could only say Sephiroth is 'impossible to please'.
While Cloud struggles to meet the high standard set for him, Sephiroth seems to have greater plans for Cloud than he could ever guess.
Why does Sephiroth look for scars Cloud does not have? Why does the general seem to be reciting a script only he knows the words to?

“Oh, didn’t I tell you?! I bumped into Reno and Rude today,” Genesis says. “Guess what? The Turks have an on-going pool bet on us.”
Angel frowns. “What? On us?” He’s never been very fond of bets. It’s such a shame he can’t see the fun in this.
“Yes, honey, on us and our private life. And by that I mean our sex life.”
Angel sighs and tiredly rubs the frown between his eyebrows, the way he does when he’s about to have a headache. On the other hand, Cloud and Zack look very interested, and while Sephiroth is visibly curious, he's trying very hard to look unimpressed.
“What’s the bet about?” Cloud asks. “Did they tell you?”
Genesis grins. “They did! It’s actually about you. They’re betting on which one of us will deflower you.”

Summary
“I think we should have sex.”
Zack freezes, his mind grinding to a halt. There’s no way he could have predicted that coming out of Cloud’s mouth, today, with no warning.
“It’s really the perfect time for us to—to take the next step,” Cloud mumbles, staring away somewhere over Zack’s right ear.
Zack wonders if he’ll ever get to hear Cloud say something so plainly forward as we should have sex ever again.
“Why?” Zack asks.
“You’ve met my mom,” Cloud says. “I’ve met your—your Angeal.”Alternatively: As always, it's Cloud pushing them onward.
