Summary
"…When did you first notice that you weren’t really a Beta…?”
“You’re asking when I truly knew…?”“Ignis Scientia…?”
A nurse in a long, white lab coat opened the door, reading his name from a clipboard. Her eyes swept over the empty hallway before landing on Ignis and she offered him a smile.
Ignis looked up from his book and took in her sterile smell and blue gloves. This wasn’t the normal nurse from school. This woman was a nurse from a hospital.
He sniffed the air curiously, taking in her personal scent; devoid of that special hint of anything telling of either Alpha or Omega. She was a Beta, just like him, and at once he released the breath he hadn’t even realized he’d been holding until now.
Ignis’ body relaxed moderately at the comfort of being in ‘familiar’ company, but then his eyes fell from hers to instead linger Just above the collar of her lab coat. He took in the arched line of indentions; teeth marks scarred into soft, brown flesh.
A bond mark.
For some reason his heart began to beat just a tad bit faster than previously and his cheeks felt uncomfortably hot.“What did you do when you found out the truth…?”
“Well, that’s simple… Whatever I had to do.”Bookmarked by Illumiere

Summary
They’re up high now, taking a rest on a plateau, with the lush green fields of Cleigne rolling out beneath them for as far as the eye can see. It’s a beautiful sight, or so Ignis says. As for Gladio, he sits on a boulder and fans himself with the field guide, trying not to think about the distance from here to earth. He made the mistake of glancing down to check on Prompto when they were scaling a rock wall, and he’s been feeling dizzy ever since.
On their first visit to Ravatogh, Gladio doesn't cope well with the altitude.

Summary
It's been five days since Noct died.
Gladio sits in the cramped kitchenette of the caravan he’s renting with Ignis, a bottle of Takka’s bootleg beer in his hand, and stares at nothing with sore, puffy eyes. He hasn’t been completely sober in three and a half days.
The drink numbs the pain, the guilt that cuts like a sharpened blade, though he doesn’t let himself fully forget. Someone like him—someone who failed at the one job he was supposed to do, his only goddamn reason for existing—doesn’t deserve to forget.
Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto are grieving the loss of Noct. As they share a toast to him, they find comfort in memories of their lost friend—and their bonds with each other.

Summary
The whole thing was Prompto’s idea to start with. An offhand comment from Noctis about how great it was to see Gladio tied up, those big muscles useless for once. It sparked an idea in Prompto. He mentioned that idea to Ignis when they were brainstorming for a good birthday present. Ignis helped put some of the ideas together into something more coherent.
Gladio, of course, was the one who was center stage, so they had to get him on board. Honestly they just had to mention birthday present and being tied up before Gladio was already agreeing.
Considering how smug Ignis looked, Prompto was a little worried Gladio might be getting in over his head a bit.
