Summary
Prince Henry represents everything Alex Claremont-Diaz hates about the wealthy and privileged. While every news outlet in the country is obsessively reporting on Henry’s abdication and subsequent move to the U.S. to attend a PhD program, Alex just wishes he could have a single day when he’s not reminded of the guy's stupid face. Except he won’t stop coming into the coffee shop where Alex works.
Still reeling from the public and private backlash on his decision to leave England, all Henry wants is to keep his head down and get through the semester. But when Alex comes barreling headfirst into his life—bright, brash, an embodiment of all the things he cannot have—Henry finds himself entirely unable to keep away.

Sequel to "With a Friend in the Dark.”
It's been weeks since Buck's cancer diagnosis, and in most ways, things are looking up. The idea of resuming chemo still frightens him, but not nearly as much as it did last time. This time, he has people on his side. But Buck is about to learn that treatment is just the first challenge. Money troubles, identity crises, learning what real love means for the first time at twenty-seven... who knew cancer would be so complicated?
Eddie, meanwhile, is still wrestling with his guilt and anger over how he handled things the first time. Being there for Buck? That's a given. Figuring out what it means to be Buck's friend through his cancer treatments, in the wake of all that's happened between them? That seems a lot trickier. Even more so when Eddie starts to realize that anger and guilt might not be the only feelings he's having.

“So, I guess my good thing and bad thing are…kinda the same? My good thing: I got accepted into a study abroad programme at Oxford.”
“As in, Oxford…England?” Ellen says slowly.
“Yeah,” Alex says. His hands fidget for something to do. “That’s the bad thing: I have to live in England for a year.”
“Isn’t Prince Henry studying at there?” Leo asks.
“If a sitting President could gamble, I’d put twenty bucks on them bumping into each other during orientation,” Ellen says.
“No, first day,” June says. “Alex is like a Prince Henry magnet.”
Leo shakes his head. “Have some faith in the kid. Not for the first month, at least.”
Alex sighs. “I hate y’all so much.”
Canon divergent post-Rio, where Alex studies abroad for a year at the University of Oxford. His attempts to avoid stuck up, snobby Prince Henry while he’s there have mixed results.
