“What about Deb?” Dexter croaks, an afterthought bleeding in from the edges of remaining consciousness, nodding toward the body.
As if a fresh kill would ever deter Brian.
Nevertheless, he casts his eyes to the side, to the offering he gave his little brother, and his smile grows even wider, canines burrowing deep into his bottom lip as a mere wisp of a thought takes form.
