Ethan Winters, Donna Beneviento, Karl Heisenberg, Rosemary Winters and little Salvatore aren"t out of the woods yet. Summary
Mia Summers has been missing since 2017, vanishing without a trace in the depths of a muggy bayou in Louisiana. Ethan Winters hasn"t given up hope in finding her; alive--or so he hopes. He tracks down lead after lead, bringing him to the cell of an... Odd informant.
Karl Heisenberg was arrested in 2021 for the brutal murder of his mother, Miranda (she had it coming, or so he says) and thrown in the slammer. While life behind bars doesn"t bother him all too much, being a lone wolf can get boring after a while. Good thing someone can"t let the past go, and good thing someone is getting desperate to solve a cold case.

Summary
Ethan Winters has always managed to find himself in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong people.
It takes a mere four years after the Baker Incident for his life to be uprooted in an equally nightmarish and biohazardous fashion. The situation he finds himself in is strikingly familiar - except instead of a muggy Louisiana bayou, it’s a vast Romanian village, and instead of four monstrous individuals hunting him down, there’s eight. Suddenly he’s been indoctrinated into Miranda’s twisted fairytale family, surrounded by a village of cultish worshippers and four loyal Lords. He’s only got one mysterious ally in his corner - a man who speaks in half-truths over the phone and goes by the singular name of “Karl.”
All Ethan wants is his daughter back. Is that really too much to ask?
(A RE:Village rewrite based on the Tragedy of Ethan Winters concept art and the unused or scrapped concepts from early development.)

Summary
"Heisenberg?!" Ethan lowers his gun, feeling suddenly, horribly tired. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Nice to see you too, Ethan." Ethan"s first name practically drips out of Heisenberg"s mouth. He"s been using a dinner plate as an ashtray, Ethan notices—the kind of minor detail the mind focuses on in moments of extreme stress (god, he"s probably lucky the bastard bothered to find himself an ashtray at all).
But Heisenberg"s still talking: "Dropped by, you weren"t home, so I let myself in. Wouldn"t want me loitering around your porch, bringing down the neighbourhood, would you?"
Ethan grits his teeth. He"d actually forgotten just how annoying Heisenberg could be. "Which still doesn"t explain what the hell you"re doing here."
