Grian was fine with the mycelium, he was, but then he saw it in just the wrong lighting and it looked all too close to a purple that haunted his nightmares.
With Mumbo off-world and Scar on the other side of the turf war, he just decides to handle it himself.
The other members of the mycelium resistance don't agree with that and take matters into their own hands.
and besides once Scar knows what's going on he's all to happy to help.
