Tommy can't help but feel like he's living in one of those Christmas movies he loves while he's walking around the tree farm hand in hand with Buck, on a mission to find the perfect Christmas tree.
At the beginning of the year, he'd never believed he would have a boyfriend to spend Christmas with, let alone that he'd decorate his - now theirs - house with said boyfriend but then Howie called and Evan Buckley waltzed into his life and here he is, excitedly waiting for Christmas and enjoying the Christmas atmosphere for the first time in years.

There was only one thing to do at this point. He groped at his nightstand blindly before grabbing his phone. Texting wouldn't be enough - not for this. His fingers trembled as he hit the call button.
"Maddie?" His voice was thick with tears, barely above a whisper. "Can we talk?"
"Buck? What's wrong? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Maddie answered, concern evident in her tone.
"Mads...I...I'm..." Buck gasped, struggling to find the words.
"Nice and slow deep breaths," Maddie said gently, trying to soothe her brother.
Buck took a few steadying breaths before continuing, his voice trembling. "Maddie...I'm pregnant."
