But his eyes instead widened in horror. He immediately lets go of Akito’s hand and, ignoring Akito’s worried questions, bolts as fast as he can towards the darkness ahead of him.
As far away from anyone, from Akito, as possible. Because the moon he sees is full, round and too-bright and warning Toya that his time is up.

I love this fic in general, but just wanted to note that this inspired an entire semi-plot point in my queerplatonic akitoya fic. The entire concept of werewolf toya is something that I love so much.
